Order Process

One of our designers will contact you to discuss how we can help you make your event a memorable one with a custom designed invitation ensemble.

GETTING STARTED

Élan Designs understands that each bride has a personal vision and budget when it comes to invitations. We offer free personal consultations in the San Francisco, Bay Area as well as through email. During this session, our designers will show you samples, fonts and embellishments to get a better sense of what it is you truly desire in your invitation. Élan Designs will then make a sample for you to review before any final decisions are made.

SAMPLE

After your design is completed, Élan Designs will either schedule a 2nd meeting so you may review the product or email an electronic version of the sample to you. A quote for your order will also be given at this time.

CONTRACT & DEPOSIT

Once the details have been agreed upon and you are ready to move forward with Élan Designs, we will send you a full estimate and contract for review. A signed contract and 50% deposit (which gets applied to your final order) is required before we can move forward with the process.

PROOFS

After the contract and deposit are received, proofs will be sent for your review. Clients are responsible for notifying Élan Designs in regards to any changes in wording, content, color and design of the invitation. An electronic or print out mock-up will be submitted for your signed approval after such changes are made. It is recommended that the client review the mock-up THOROUGHLY before approving. Once a signature is obtained, Élan Designs will not be responsible for any errors approved on the final mock-up.

PRODUCTION

Once proofs are approved, Élan Designs will start the production of your invitation promptly. Depending on the complexity of the design, it may take 4-8 weeks to complete your order. For this reason, Élan Designs suggests placing your order 4-6 months prior to your event. Rush orders will be considered on a case-by-case basis with a 15% mark-up. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule and will gladly let you know if your rush order can or cannot be completed in the time-frame you need.

FINAL PAYMENT

The remaining balance will be due upon completion of the invitations. Payments of cash, check, or money order (payable to Élan Designs) will be accepted. Please allow 3-5 business days for personal check payments to clear before receiving the final order.
